Arthur Siler
EXECUTIVE CHEF - BARTIZAN
Arthur was born and raised just outside of Los Angeles. Some of his earliest memories are of being in the kitchen with his grandmother and aunt, watching them cook, trying their food, and asking for recipes. Arthur always wanted to be a chef; there was no other option in his mind. He recently made the cross-country relocation to Richmond in 2021 to be closer to family and quickly joined the Bartizan team. At age 16, he started as a broil cook with no experience but a passion for learning more about culinary art. His first Executive Chef role was at Kettle Bar, a modern Southern-inspired restaurant in Anaheim and Irvine in the heart of Orange County. He then worked at Pappas Artisanal with well-known Chef Travis Flood, famous for working in Michelin-star restaurants. Chef Flood became a mentor to Arthur, taught him a profound understanding of food, and significantly influenced his leadership in the kitchen. His favorite cuisine to cook is traditional Mexican food and anything with avocados. You will find Arthur hanging out with family in his free time and trying to perfect his grandmother’s apple pie, bread roll, and tamale recipes.
